Rocky River ‘Riters’ reading for March was “The Light Between Oceans” by M L Stedman.  

Members choose new words and phrases from readings they do in the month. Words included atavistic, ubiquitous, incubus, ulotricous, egregious, spoon and love spoons.   

Laura Literary Awards 2023 is coming up. If you are interested in contributing then these are the dates for you: Applications will be called for on the 24^th April, 2023. The closing date will be the 12^th May, 2023. The Presentation day will be at 2 pm Saturday 29^th July, 2023.

Rocky River ‘Riters’ put pieces in the Brush With Art exhibition in Gladstone. Artists, consider putting pieces in this exhibition. Entry forms are now available. The art work and the school’s artwork across the three schools is well worth the visit in September / October.

Rocky River ‘Riters’ meetings are in Gladstone the second Friday of every month. Please contact us for meeting information. Our next meeting will be on May 10^th at 9:30 am.

The creative writing meetings are on the fourth Saturday of each month at the Diocesan Hall in Gladstone. The next session will be Saturday 22^nd  March. Sessions run from 10 am to noon with shared lunch.
